Job Brief

We are looking for a Back-End JavaScript Developer to produce scalable software solutions. You’ll be part of a cross-functional team that’s responsible for the entire software development life cycle, from conception to deployment. You will be responsible for the server side of our web applications.

As a Back-end JavaScript Developer, you should be comfortable around back-end coding languages, development frameworks and third-party libraries. You should also be a team player with a knack for visual design and utility.

Responsibilities:

• Work with development teams and product managers to ideate software solutions.
• Design server-side architecture
• Develop and manage well-functioning databases and applications
• Write effective APIs
• Test software to ensure responsiveness and efficiency
• Troubleshoot, debug and upgrade software
• Create security and data protection settings
• Write technical documentation
• Work with data scientists and analysts to improve software

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Back-End JavaScript Developer or similar role
• Familiarity with common stacks
• Knowledge of multiple back-end languages and JavaScript frameworks (NodeJs, React, Angular, Typescript, ExpressJs, Single-Spa, GraphQL, Node Express
• Familiarity with libraries and architecture (Apollo GraphQL, Apollo Gateway, ORM Sequelize, TypeORM, Yarn, NPM).
• Familiarity with databases (e.g. MS SQL, MySQL, MongoDB, Graph Database, Postgres, SQLite)
• Familiarity with testing frameworks (Cypress, Jest, Selenium, Lint & Prettier )
• Familiarity with Dev and DevOps tools (Docker, Kubernetes, Gitlab, Gitlab CI/CD, Helm, VSCode IDE, Basic Linux commands)
• Familiarity with event streaming platforms such as Pulsar and Kafka is a plus.
